Peek under a toadstool in any self-respecting fairy garden and you might just find the Ladybird Red Fairy — and now she has her very own house.
This delightful fairy home is built in the shape of a giant spotted toadstool, with a vivid red and white polka-dot mushroom cap forming the roof. The door is painted with a beautiful, life-size ladybird — wings and all — and the sign above reads "Ladybird Red Fairy". Smaller ladybirds and beetles climb the walls, and the whole piece sits on a green painted base with painted grass and leaves.
It's one of our most immediately loveable designs — the kind of thing that makes children gasp and adults grin. Compact enough for a windowsill or mantelpiece, and robust enough to sit outdoors among the flowers.
Made by hand in solid wood at our Mid Wales workshop. Every spot on the mushroom cap, every wing on the ladybird door, painted with a brush. If you'd like a custom version — perhaps a different creature or colour — we'd love to make it for you.
