Not all fairies live in flowers. Some prefer the shadows — and the Spider Fairy House was built for exactly that sort of fairy. This gothic two-story tower is one of the most dramatically styled pieces we make, and it never fails to cause a stir.
The exterior is painted in deep, moody tones with bold black spider motifs climbing the walls. A green arched door sits at the base beneath a Gothic-pointed canopy, and carved spider web details decorate the upper storey. Fencing surrounds the base, and the whole structure has a wonderfully theatrical, slightly spooky quality — perfect for Halloween displays, or simply for those who like their fairy houses to have a darker edge.
Despite its gothic styling, this is a beautifully crafted piece — solid wood construction, hand-painted at our Mid Wales workshop. It's a real talking point and looks stunning displayed against a stone wall or between dark-leaved plants.
