The Rustic Storytelling Throne is a hand-carved solid British oak throne with a strong, straightforward presence — no painted animals, no mythology, just the weight and authority of the wood itself.

Hand-carved and hand-built in our Mid Wales workshop from 100% sustainably sourced solid British oak, and finished with three coats of Epifanes matt varnish for all-weather outdoor durability. The solid hand-built joinery means this chair will outlast the stories told from it by decades.

Your Version
The clean surface of the Rustic Throne is ideal for personalisation — a name carved into the seat rail, a school badge routed into the backrest, a motto, a date, or a phrase that belongs to the children who will use it. We can also add carved elements to the backrest: leaves and vines, knotwork, a specific animal, or anything else you have in mind. Tell us what the chair should say about your school, and we will design from there.
Typical lead time is 4–5 weeks. Prices include VAT. Schools can order by purchase order and pay on invoice. If your school or trust needs to register us as a supplier, we will provide all details: VAT number, bank details, address and anything else required.
