The heart appears in the backrest in a way that reads clearly from both sides — which makes it a natural focal point for ceremonies, photographs and memorial spaces alike. This bench is built to a standard that matches the occasions it’s likely to witness: handfasted couples, retirement parties, memorial unveilings, a quiet corner of a country garden. The oak is solid throughout, the joinery traditional, the design present enough to matter without competing with whatever is happening around it.

Your Version

Finish

This piece is supplied unvarnished as standard. Left natural, solid oak slowly weathers to a soft, silvery-grey — completely normal for outdoor timber, a graceful way for a piece to age, and with no maintenance needed. If you’d prefer to bring out the grain and warm, honeyed tones, choose the varnished option (+£50) and we’ll hand-apply three coats of Epifanes, a premium marine yacht varnish.
