Compost Toilet Installations

Since building our first composting toilet in 2008, we've installed them at sites all over the country — campsites, community gardens, allotments, forest schools and churchyards. Here are a few of them.

"We love our Free Range Loo. In fact visitors are very attracted to it! They long to mount the steps and sit in splendid isolation contemplating their next move... the loo works really well and is a pleasure to have in the garden. A worthwhile investment."

We made a compost toilet for a community garden in Machynlleth. The town where the Centre for Alternative Technology is based should have one of the smartest compost toilets around.

Bright Woods Forest School

Wheelchair-accessible compost toilet at Bright Woods Forest School

A compost toilet we installed for Bright Woods Forest School in Teesdale. The school believes in children's right to play, to access the natural world and to experience appropriate risk. So it made sense for them to choose one of our disabled-access composting toilets — our team spent a couple of days erecting this fully wheelchair-accessible composting toilet in the forest school woods.

It's always a pleasure to install a toilet for a fellow artist. Gary Jones makes sculptures in his studio and wanted a disabled-access composting toilet for his pottery students.

"We are so chuffed with the toilet! It looks so good. Paul and Robbie were fantastic and we couldn't be happier with the service and the product. I've mentioned it on Instagram and Twitter!"
