At its heart sits \u003cem data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1070\"\u003eThe Mermaid of Zennor\u003c\/em\u003e, framed by scenes of \u003cstrong data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1114\"\u003eCormoran the Giant\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1135\"\u003eCornish piskies\u003c\/strong\u003e, ships, sea creatures, and winding Celtic knotwork. Every panel was carefully considered, allowing multiple stories to be discovered over time — a chair that invites curiosity, conversation, and imagination.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1755\"\u003eThe form of the chair is deliberately generous and welcoming. Branch-like arms rise upwards, grounding the chair in the natural landscape, while carved details at the base reveal playful characters hidden among mushrooms and woodland forms. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, this chair now lives in the newly refurbished garden at Penzance Library, where it has already become a much-loved focal point.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"2017\"\u003eThis particular chair was commissioned by \u003cstrong data-start=\"1799\" data-end=\"1821\"\u003eCornwall Libraries\u003c\/strong\u003e, with designs shared and approved before carving began. Feedback after delivery described the craftsmanship and detail as \u003cem data-start=\"1944\" data-end=\"1952\"\u003e“100%”\u003c\/em\u003e, and the chair has since been featured by the library community.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"2019\" data-end=\"2308\"\u003eWhile this chair is now part of Penzance Library’s story, it also showcases what is possible.
