We have just returned from Leeds where we were commissioned by the Thwaite Mills Museum to install two disabled access compost toilets in the grounds of their popular visitor centre.
The wooden composting toilets are each sited in beautiful locations, with one in the museum’s apple orchard close to the adjacent canal replete with canal boats (one of which we stayed in during the installation :-), and the other next to the museum’s flourishing community garden. Composting toilets are the ideal solution for remote locations, requiring no electricity, mains water or septic tank, and can provide an attractive addition to natural outdoor environments.
The disabled access compost loos have been built to extra high specifications, suitable for busy public amenity sites, and will be used by adults and children alike, providing full access to wheelchair and limited mobility users.
