A composting toilet only works well if the liquids stay out of the solids — and that's the job of a urine separator. We've been making them for over 20 years, hand-forming each one in our Snowdonia workshop. When we started, nothing on the market did the job properly, so we designed our own — and two decades of refinement later, it's still made here, by us.
We make two designs, the Compact and the Complete, both in black or white and both dispatched within 24 hours. Whether you're building a toilet from scratch or upgrading an existing one, the separator is the single most important part you'll fit.
Compact or Complete?
Compact
£31.50 · black or whiteFills the front third of the seat opening and can be nudged forwards or back to sit just right. Supplied square, so you can trim it to fit. Best for tighter or custom builds.
Complete
£42.50 · black or whiteFills the whole seat opening — a funnel at the front and an enclosed area at the back that contains the solids. Supplied pre-cut, ready to fit. Best for compact builds like houseboats and motorhomes.
Both are made from 4mm ABS plastic with a 30mm outlet and a removable metal filter.
