There's something about the hills around our workshop — the waterfalls, the mist, the way the light sits in the valley — that makes it easy to understand why Tolkien set his stories where he did. He grew up in South Africa, where our own roots are, before finding his Middle Earth in the landscapes of Britain. We've never quite shaken that connection.
The Hobbit Furniture we make draws on that same feeling. Low, rounded, built from solid oak with organic edges and earthy character. Chairs for reading corners, beds that feel like burrows, benches and tables that belong outdoors on a damp autumn morning.
Each piece is made to order. If you have a vision — a hobbit door, a reading nook, a whole room — we're happy to talk.
