Hand-built from Welsh shoreline driftwood and sustainably sourced local timber, the Oak & Driftwood Bunk Beds bring the same wild, characterful aesthetic as our most popular beds into a space-saving format — a natural choice for shared rooms, holiday cottages, or any bedroom where floor space matters as much as quality of sleep.
The driftwood comes from beaches close to the workshop in Wales — salt-bleached, wind-shaped, each post carrying a story that no manufactured timber can replicate. The rest of the frame is built from sustainable hardwood sourced from local forestry, hand-jointed and finished for the robust daily use that children give their furniture. The result is a pair of bunks that looks like it grew rather than was made, and that will still be standing long after the children who sleep in them have grown up and moved on.
Built to fit standard single mattresses, the structure is designed for both strength and occasional dismantling — because sometimes rooms change. If you'd like a different timber combination, a carved headboard, or a variation in height or configuration, just get in touch and we'll discuss what's possible.

Your Version
Bunk beds are a favourite commission at the workshop — especially when children get involved in specifying their own. Would you like a carved headboard? A specific timber for the frame? A detachable upper bunk? Different sizes? Tell us what you're imagining and we'll price it up. Typical lead time is 4–5 weeks.
