A four-poster bed built from Snowdonia timber and driftwood gathered from the Welsh coast — the kind of bed that looks as though it grew where it stands rather than was made.
The four posts are driftwood: weathered, sea-shaped, and chosen for their presence as much as their strength. Each one was collected from the coastline near our workshop and selected for its straightness, its weight, and the way it catches light — posts that carry the memory of the sea and the feel of wood that has been shaped by something other than a machine. The structural timbers are sourced from forests in the Snowdonia region — local hardwood with the density and grain quality to carry a four-poster frame for generations. The joinery that connects them is solid and hand-built, with coach bolt fittings at the rail connections for simple, secure assembly and disassembly.
The driftwood and timber are finished with a high-quality natural oil that nourishes the wood and lets the grain and surface texture read clearly. This is not a decorative piece — it is a working four-poster bed built to last decades.
