No two of these tables are the same, because the materials never are. The top draws from whatever reclaimed Welsh timbers are best in the workshop at the time — oak, beech, chestnut, larch, sycamore — fitted together with reclaimed slate inlays that run across the surface like natural fault lines. The result is a coffee table that looks like it was assembled by someone who understood both craft and composition.
The legs are a particularly good detail: reclaimed Welsh oak gate and fence posts, weathered, gnarled, and carrying thirty or forty years of outdoor life in their grain. They ground the table in the Welsh landscape in a way that no turned leg ever could. The construction is solid throughout; the surface is finished with organic Danish oil that brings out the different colours of each timber without flattening them.
