Handmade in solid spalted beech in the Free Range workshop in Wales, this Driftwood Bedside Table pairs a lipped top shelf with generous open or enclosed storage below — the kind of purposeful, beautiful nightstand that makes a bedroom feel properly finished.
Spalted beech has a quality unlike any other timber: the dark dendritic patterns left by natural fungal activity run through pale grain in formations that are genuinely different on every board. The top shelf has a lip on each side to stop things rolling off in the night, and the lower section is available as open shelving or with a hinged door, depending on how you prefer your bedside storage. The legs are driftwood from the Welsh coast, giving the whole piece the same wild, natural character as our bed frames.
