A bench for Calum.

A bench for Calum. 💛

Calum's family asked us to make him a memorial bench for the playground of his school — a place he and his friends played. He loved Pokémon, so his favourites went onto every part of it: Charizard and Pikachu carved on the posts, more on the legs, and a hand-painted backrest of a boy reading among the clouds with Pikachu beside him. "Forever in our hearts" is carved across the top, and his name across the front.

Solid oak, carved and painted by hand in our workshop in Wales, and sealed so the colours stay bright outdoors.

The school placed it this week, once the playground had been resurfaced. His mum wrote to say it's a perfect tribute. That's the whole job.
