Three timbers in a single surface. A solid slab of reclaimed Welsh slate runs down the centre of this table, flanked by lengths of locally sourced oak and larch. The effect is a stripe — warm golden oak, cool grey slate, and the pale honey of larch — that looks intentional because it is. The slate takes hot dishes directly; the wood on either side takes everything else. It’s a table that thinks about how you actually use a table.
Built chunky and solid for outdoor use — thick legs, generous proportions, and a build heavy enough to stay put in all weathers. The construction is traditional mortise and tenon joinery throughout: no screws, no shortcuts. It works as equally well inside a large kitchen or dining room as it does on a terrace or in a garden pergola. Some customers pair it with matching oak benches; others prefer the carved oak chairs from our range, which add a wilder, more decorative note to what is otherwise a clean-lined table.
