A hand-built four poster Harry Potter bed — solid oak or pine, with carved architraves, a timber roof and curtains that draw on all four sides, turning an ordinary bedroom into a dormitory at Hogwarts.
This one began as a commission for a little boy called Harry in Bournemouth, whose parents wanted something that would make bedtime the best part of his day rather than the worst. What came out of the workshop was a proper four-poster in miniature: heavy corner posts, a pitched roof overhead, and architraves cut and shaped by hand so the whole thing reads as architecture rather than furniture. The curtains close, and the bed becomes a room of its own — which is, of course, the entire point.
We build it in oak or pine, at any size from a standard single up to super king, and as a bunk version for shared rooms. It works at either end of that range because the proportions are drawn from real four-poster joinery rather than from a film set.
The bed is made in sections that bolt together, so it comes up a staircase and through a bedroom door without drama, and comes apart again if you move house.

Your Version
Almost everything here can change. We can carve initials or a house crest into the headboard, build it as a bunk for a shared room, fit it around a low ceiling or a sloping wall, or adjust the height of the posts to suit the room. Tell us the room’s dimensions and what your child is most excited about, and we will draw something from there.
