Seven species of Welsh and British timber, woven together into a single panoramic sunrise — the Sunrise Bed brings a headboard that reads like a landscape painting in wood, with sunbeams of contrasting grain radiating outward through a canopy of interwoven branches built in solid oak, driftwood, ash, yew, beech, cedar, and pine.
Building a headboard like this is a labour that takes as long as it takes. Each timber is chosen for its colour and grain contribution to the whole — the pale silver of driftwood catching the light at one angle, the rich amber of yew at another, the clean white of ash weaving in between. The branches are hand-carved and fitted one by one, the composition evolving as the piece is built. The solid oak frame that carries it is hand-built with the same care: heavy, stable, and made to last a lifetime. Everything is finished in natural oil to enrich the grain and protect it for years to come.
This is a bed for people who want to wake up inside something worth looking at every morning. Your Version
No two Sunrise Beds are identical — the composition shifts with every commission. We can work in different timber combinations, adapt the scene, add carved details (animals, constellations, hidden initials), or change the frame dimensions entirely. If you have a vision, we want to hear it. Typical lead time is 4–5 weeks, though we can often work to a tighter deadline if needed.
Made to order in our Snowdonia workshop. Prices include VAT. Schools and educational establishments are welcome to order on account by purchase order.
