The Kids Animal Bed is hand-carved from solid UK ash in the Free Range workshop in Wales, bringing the quiet magic of the woodland into a child's bedroom and making bedtime something to look forward to.
Ash has a clean, pale grain with a strength that makes it ideal for furniture that's going to take years of use. The carving is done entirely by hand — the fox curled tight, the badger snoozing, the owl perched with that air of knowing everything. Each animal has its own character, and because each bed is carved individually, the details shift subtly between commissions. The branches of the tree frame the animals above, so the whole headboard reads as a scene rather than just decoration.

Your Version
Animal beds are some of the most joyful commissions we take on. Let children choose their own animals and their own stories — we've carved wolves, eagles, hedgehogs, deer, and everything in between. The scene can be as simple or as elaborate as they like. Typical lead time is 4–5 weeks, and we always try to accommodate school-year deadlines like birthdays and Christmas.
