The fan back is one of those traditional garden bench designs that doesn’t date: the radiating slats draw the eye upward while keeping the seat open and airy, and the heart carved into the centre gives it a human touch without being fussy. Made from reclaimed and sustainable oak — wood that’s already lived one life and is ready for another — each bench carries an honesty of material that new-sawn timber rarely manages. The grain, the colour, the occasional knot are part of what it is.
Built with solid hand-built joinery and finished with three coats of Epifanes matt varnish for year-round outdoor use, it seats two comfortably at 140cm wide.
