A proper farmhouse table — the kind built to last generations and look better for every year of use. The top combines two types of solid oak with a band of reclaimed Welsh slate running across it: functional (the slate is perfect for setting hot dishes directly on the surface) and striking in a way that a plain wooden top never quite is. The overall effect is warm and earthy, with a stripe of cool grey that grounds the whole piece.
The legs and frame are solid locally sourced oak, joined with traditional mortise and tenon joinery and wooden dowels. This is a refectory format — stretcher rails along the base, generous overhang on the top, and a solid, stable build that seats six to ten people without flexing. The oak is finished with eco-friendly organic Danish oil; the slate needs nothing.
Every table is made individually to order in our workshop in Mid Wales. Matching chairs or benches are available — ask when you get in touch. Prices include VAT. Contact us for bespoke dimensions or custom requirements.
