In the rolling hills of Mid-Wales, surrounded by bleating flocks and ancient oak woodlands, a new creation has taken shape in our workshop: the Sheep Storytelling Chair.
Hand-carved from locally sourced oak, this chair was designed especially for a school in Shepton Mallet, where sheep are a cherished part of the local identity. With sheep statues on their roundabout and outside their school gates, it only made sense that their storytime corner should celebrate the same beloved animal.

A Seat of Imagination
At the heart of the chair stands a proud Swaledale ram, its spiralled horns and flowing fleece captured in intricate detail. Below him, two gentle lambs curl up peacefully on the arms, inviting children to settle in and listenāor take a turn telling their own tales. Every swirl in the wood grain, every carved curl of fleece, adds to the magic.
Whether placed in a school garden, under an old tree, or in a library reading nook, this chair is more than furniture. Itās an invitation to wonder.
Made in Wales, Inspired by Nature
Each storytelling chair we make is unique. Crafted from oak right here in Mid-Wales, this chair is built to last generationsāsturdy, weatherproof, and full of character.
And while this one celebrates sheep, weāve created chairs featuring everything from stags and owls to dragons and hobbits. The only limit is the imagination.
