This stool takes that image and builds it in solid timber — carved, painted, and finished to live outdoors season after season. The cap is a deep pillar-box red with white spot detail; the stem is left in natural Douglas Fir. It's at home tucked beneath a tree, grouped in a fairy ring on a school lawn, or standing beside a storytelling throne as a perch for the teller.
Built from full-section Douglas Fir with solid hand-built joinery and finished with Epifanes matt varnish for outdoor durability. The painted cap is sealed and weatherproof. Mushroom stools can be made in different sizes — taller for adult use, smaller for toddlers, larger for a centrepiece. Spot patterns and cap colours can be varied. Many schools order a set of four or six to create a full fairy ring. Tell us how many you need and we'll quote accordingly.
