When My Little Stars Nursery in Coventry set about creating a fairy garden for their children, they found our work on Pinterest and got in touch to have something designed just for them. The arch spans 3 metres and includes a gate and fence panels on either side, framing the entrance to their outdoor play area with colour and imagination. It's carved from sustainably sourced hardwood and filled with the things that catch a young child's eye: stars, flowers, a fox, an owl, ladybirds, and birds — each one placed so that no matter which direction a small person is looking, there's something new to notice.
Built from sustainably sourced hardwood with solid hand-built joinery throughout, finished with Epifanes matt varnish — three coats — for long-term outdoor durability. The painted and carved motifs are sealed separately. This is a permanent outdoor structure, designed to be a lasting feature of the nursery grounds rather than a seasonal decoration.
