A cloud-shaped memorial plaque in solid oak, hand-drawn, hand-carved and hand-painted, with rolling hills, a rising sun and two swallows lifting into the sky: a quiet, hopeful way to remember someone, on a bench, a wall or at home.
This design comes straight from our Skylark Memorial Bench, which we carved for Randwick Primary School in memory of two much-loved members of their community. The layered clouds, the hills and the birds rising through open sky are all taken from that bench, scaled down into a plaque that anyone can give.
Not everyone has room or budget for a full memorial bench. A plaque lets you bring the same handmade character to a bench that is already there, in a park, a garden, a churchyard or on a favourite walk, or to keep at home.
Every plaque is drawn by hand for you, then carved and hand-painted in solid oak in our Mid Wales workshop and sealed for life outdoors.
The photo shows a design visualisation of this plaque. Every plaque is made to order with your own wording, and we send you a drawing to approve before we carve.
Sizes & Fixing
-
30cm wide: right for most bench backrests, and for a wall, gate or post. Also lovely kept at home.
-
45cm wide: for wide backrests, walls and gates, with room for a longer verse.
- Pre-drilled for four screws; stainless or brass fixings supplied. For trees we recommend a separate post rather than screwing into a living tree.
