Handmade compost toilets, built in our Mid Wales workshop since 2005 — fully waterless, off-grid, and ready for sites where mains drainage was never an option.
From the Basic single unit to large disabled-access toilet blocks for public sites, every loo we build is solid timber, needs no mains connection, and runs on a simple urine separator and soakaway. We've designed and installed hundreds across the UK — we were making these before most people knew what a composting toilet was.
Building your own? The single most important part of any composting toilet is the urine separator (diverter) — it's what keeps the whole system clean and odour-free. We make ours by hand in Wales and always keep them in stock.
They go into allotments, churchyards, canal boats, off-grid cabins, campsites, nature reserves and festival sites — anywhere you need a loo and don't want to dig a trench. Need more than one? Look at the Twin and Triple blocks. Want a wash too? See the shower and composting toilet unit.
New to all this? Read how composting toilets work, the FAQ, our guide to soakaways and past installations. Building your own? We sell DIY plans and instructions. Not sure which design suits your site — get in touch, we're used to working through the specifics.
